A former Altonian, Leslie Chamberlain Jr., 44, who has resided at10683 Foxpath, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Mo. for the past two years,died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Northwest Hoepital in St.Louis.
He was a machinist with Berry Wehmiller Co. in St. Louis.
A son of Mrs. Lucille Chamberlain of Alton and the late LeslieChamberlain Sr.,  he was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Alton. He attended theAlton schools, graduated from Alton High School and was a veteran ofWorld War II.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his widow, the former ElizabethRobinson, whom he married July 27, 1956, in Alton; a brother, Gary ofGodfrey; and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Bachman of St. Louis.
Visitation will begin after 7 p.m. today at Gent Funeral Home, wherethe Rev. Paul S. Krebs will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m.Thursday.
The body will be taken to Valhalla Crematory in St. Louis.
