Challacombe
Mrs. Sadie M. Challacombe, of 1210 Rock Springs Terrace, Alton, diedat 5:55 a.m. today at St. Anthony’s Hospital after a six-monthillness.
She was associated with the N. N. Challacombe Plumbing and Heating Co.
She was the widow of Norman N. Challacombe Sr. who died in 1950.
Surviving are a son, Norman Jr. and two daughters, Miss HazelChallacombe and Mrs. Edith Enos, all of Alton; one grandson and twogreatgranddaughters.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and theTrinity Chapel. She also belonged to St. Elizabeth’s Guild, the Orderof the Eastern Star, Alton Chapter and St. Anthony’s HospitalAuxiliary.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gent Funeral Home withthe Rev. Roger White officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
