Edna Lucille Chamberlain, 78, of 2114 Central Ave., Alton, died at7:23 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Hospital in Alton after a shortillness.
She was a dietary worker at Alton Memorial Hospital before retirementin 1974.
She was born in Alton, the daughter of the late Samuel and Barbara(Redmond) Tingley.
She was married to Leslie W. Chamberlain. He died Feb. 19, 1952.
She is survived by one son, Gary of Godfrey, one daughter, BarbaraBachman of Kirkwood, Mo., and three grandchildren.
One son, one daughter, one grandchild and two brothers preceded her indeath.
Visitation will be at Gent Chapel from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday.Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. PaulS. Krebs officiating.
Burial will be in Alton City Cemetery.
The Heart Fund has been named as a memorial.
